The inspiration for Marianne Nix’s work is the Natural World; she is fascinated by how nature makes us feel and the impact of human activity on our vital ecosystems.
Nix draws together cumulative influences from History and personal experience. Working in a variety of media, her photographs are re-cast using digital manipulation, hand printing and perhaps layered with traditional oil paint glazes and other media. The fragile entanglements between human and non-human lives are touched upon in her work.
